The Early Years
Evangeline began to paint seriously during the late 1950s and also joined the Mississauga Artists Workshop at some point during the following decade. “The Early Years” section presents some of the pieces that she did while her seminal style was emerging. She was encouraged by the various artists that were hired by the Workshop members to instruct the group and under their guidance her development as an artist accelerated. She was also stimulated by the other members of the Workshop as well since they would often discuss the artwork being done and offer helpful critiques of members work. In addition, they mounted group art shows.
